They leveraged university resources to research valuable trend data from more than 300 sources.</p> <p>Here’s a sample trend and tactic they derived:</p> <p><strong>Trend:</strong> Growth of Online Retail</p> <p><strong>Details: </strong>Brick and mortar retail sales are currently (STILL!) 10x larger than online. However, online sales are growing by 15% YoY and 67% of millennials prefer shopping online.</p> <p><strong>Implication:</strong> Your website is an essential sales tool, and must work in concert with social media to take advantage of the explosive growth of online retail.</p> <p><strong>Tactic:</strong> To move customers effectively through the funnel, optimize your landing pages using a tool like Unbounce.com. To ensure you’re driving people to your website with your social media, stay abreast of the top 10 hashtags in your industry, then comment on the top 5 trending posts each day. Then, make sure you’re linking to your website in your bio or on your page. (Note that this is an organic social media strategy).</p> <p>The workshop will take place on <strong>June 5th from 2:00-5:00 PM</strong> at the Boulder Public Library. Principal consultants will present the workshop, and then break into small groups to tailor recommendations to your specific needs.
