The YWCA Boulder County honored Kristi Ryujin, associate dean of graduate programs at Leeds School of Business, with their Community Impact Maker Award at a local ceremony on March 7.

The YWCA Community Impact Maker Award recognizes a community leader who is committed to creating a “more equitable, inclusive and empowering place for all who live in Boulder County.” Candidates exemplify values that align with the mission of the YWCA, including greater advancement and equity for women and people of color.

In both her current role and as former Assistant Dean for Diversity and Inclusion and Director of the Office of Diversity Affairs, Ryujin has spearheaded dozens of programs promoting inclusion, including:

  • End the Gap: a top Leeds initiative to increase the number of women attending business school and leading business
  • High School Programs: outreach encouraging underrepresented students to acquire leadership skills and consider business careers
  • Leeds MBA Women’s Weekend and New Face of Business: two events welcoming newly admitted women to the Leeds women’s community
  • Diversity & Business Ethics Case Competition: diverse students compete in a case challenge focused on diversity and ethics in business

Ryujin is committed to changing the business landscape for those who are underrepresented and has impacted the lives not only of high-schoolers, Leeds alumni and students but also the Front Range business community.

Congratulations, Associate Dean Ryujin.
