Michael Gropper

Michael Gropper joined the finance department at the Leeds School of Business in 2024. Before obtaining his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina, he received his bachelor's degree from the College of William & Mary and worked in economic consulting in Washington, DC. Michael's research focuses on how households save and invest over long time horizons. Some of his current work examines how employer-sponsored 401(k) retirement plans are affected by class action litigation.
Michael teaches corporate finance (FNCE3010) in the undergraduate program at Leeds.
